Navigate Weight & Metabolic is a medical practice providing obesity and cardiometabolic care directly from an experienced physician, with convenient access, ongoing follow-up, and a limited patient panel so care never feels rushed.

What We Offer

Obesity Medicine Services

Dr. Nathanson has helped thousands of patients with obesity navigate long-standing weight challenges using evidence-based medical care.

This practice is designed for patients who have struggled with:

  • Long-term or fluctuating weight

  • Weight gain after pregnancy or childbirth

  • Menopause-related weight changes

  • Thyroid disease

  • Weight gain related to medications or chronic medical conditions

Treatment plans are individualized and grounded in the latest evidence-based obesity medicine, with the goal of achieving safe, sustainable improvements in health.

Treatment May Include

  • Comprehensive medical and weight history evaluation

  • Nutrition and lifestyle guidance tailored to medical needs

  • Prescription anti-obesity medications, when appropriate

Both newer and established medications are used thoughtfully, including:

  • GLP-1–based therapies (such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, and Zepbound)

  • Established medications (including phentermine, Qsymia, Contrave, and metformin)

Medications are carefully titrated, adjusted over time, and monitored to maximize benefit while managing potential side effects. Medications are never treated as a standalone solution.

Beyond the Scale

When appropriate, patients may be referred for body composition or DEXA testing to ensure weight loss is occurring in a healthy way — with close attention to preserving lean (muscle) mass, not just lowering the number on the scale.

Cardiometabolic Health

Care extends beyond weight alone to promote healthy aging and reduce long-term cardiometabolic risk.

Services include care for patients with:

  • Type 2 diabetes and prediabetes

  • Insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome

  • Dyslipidemia and elevated cardiovascular risk

  • MASLD and MASH (commonly known as fatty liver disease)

  • Obstructive sleep apnea and related metabolic complications

Support is also provided for patients seeking to prevent the development of diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Advanced Heart Disease and Cholesterol Risk Assessment

Care may include:

  • Advanced lipid testing, including ApoB and Lp(a)

  • Evidence-based cardiometabolic therapies

  • Referral for coronary artery calcium (CAC) scoring to better define cardiovascular risk

  • Referral for sleep apnea testing, when clinically indicated

Care With a Single Physician

Your care is provided directly by a physician, not through automated protocols or a revolving team.

Dr. Nathanson personally oversees evaluations, treatment decisions, and medication management, ensuring continuity and individualized care over time.

Direct Care Model

Navigate Weight & Metabolic does not accept insurance.

Care is delivered through a direct care model, allowing for:

  • Visits often available within days, and frequently next day

  • Virtual or in-person visits to accommodate busy schedules

  • Follow-up care provided at least monthly

  • Direct access between visits via secure messaging or email

We limited the size of our small patient panel to ensure that you will always get priority, individualized attention.

Fees & Membership

  • $250 per month for the initial treatment phase (first 6 months)

  • $150 per month for ongoing care beginning in month 7

Patients transition to the ongoing care rate once their treatment plan is established and stable. The lower monthly fee reflects the shift from active treatment to long-term monitoring and support.

What the Membership Fee Covers

The membership fee covers medical services only, including visits, follow-up, and ongoing medical management.

Medications, laboratory testing, and imaging studies (including DEXA and CAC scans) are billed separately through personal insurance or self-pay.

Dr. Nathanson has extensive experience navigating insurance prior authorization for medications, including GLP-1 therapies. While insurance approval cannot be guaranteed, patients are supported in identifying the most cost-effective options available.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

  • The first month’s membership fee is refundable if:

    • medication costs are prohibitively expensive, or

    • the practice is not a good fit

  • Memberships may be canceled at any time

  • Refunds apply to membership fees only

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

Eligibility & Safety

  • Currently accepting patients age 12 and older

  • Obesity treatment is not provided during pregnancy or while nursing

Independent, Patient-First Care

This practice has no financial ties to pharmaceutical companies, supplements, procedures, or surgery. There is no incentive to prescribe specific medications or recommend unnecessary interventions.
